My name is Scott Carlin, and I am a realtor in Southwest Michigan as part of D. MottL Realty Group, primarily working out of the Dowagiac Office.
I am a proud graduate of the University of Notre Dame (B.A. ’97) where I also completed my Masters Degree (M. Ed. ’03) in Notre Dame’s prestigious ACE Program (Alliance for Catholic Education). I went on to earn my Doctorate at Michigan State University (Ph.D. ’10) in Curriculum, Teaching, and Educational Policy.
I am a licensed Realtor for the state of Michigan, with a territory that extends throughout Southwest Michigan. Having grown up in Southwest Michigan, I have a thorough understanding of the geography and burgeoning real estate market of this unique part of the Great Lake State.
I am also the Founder and CEO of Dr. Carlin’s Test Prep & College Consulting which specializes in SAT & ACT Prep and College Application Expertise. My resume also includes 10 years of teaching at both the secondary and university levels as well as 5 years working at the University of Notre Dame with student-athletes as part of ASSA (Academic Services for Student Athletes).
I approach real estate from a holistic viewpoint, helping families and businesses find the right “home,” incorporating much more than merely the property (whether commercial or residential) itself. I want my clients to have a solid understanding of the greater community in which they are laying down roots, including finding the best fit in terms of local commerce, school districts, and community spirit.
I am dedicated to helping you, often with a team approach, to make sure you’ve considered all options when buying or selling a home or business. We approach our work with people in mind (NO SALES PRESSURE) focusing on empathy and compassion, putting the client’s needs first with no hard sales pitches.
Please do not hesitate to reach out and strike up a conversation about how I can help you make your most informed real estate decisions and make your “moves” in your best interest.
